Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Michael Stitzel, Pastor
Michael and His wife Kelly and their four kids began serving as pastor on December 29, 2014. They have served as a pastor in New York State for five years prior to God leading them here. They have served in various ministries over the years including house parenting at a Christian group home, teaching children, youth, counseling, men’s and women’s ministries, and discipleship. They have a heart for God and love helping people. They have four children whom Kelly homeschool’s.
Jeff Haag, Administrative Pastor
Jeff and his wife Terry were members of Hephzibah from 1977 through 1993. Both Jeff and Terry served the Lord in a variety of ministries while attending as members. When they moved to Southern Lancaster County they began attending Beulah Baptist Church, which is a branch church of Hephzibah. In 2008 when the need for an Administrative Pastor arose Jeff and Terry were open to the Lord’s leading and rejoined Hephzibah in that capacity. Jeff and Terry have two children and two grandsons.
Mark Campos, Elder
David Sheller, Elder
David and his wife Lauren met at Hephzibah and were married in 2008. They have two children, Megan and Daniel. David teaches math at the Coatesville Area Senior High School along with being the adviser for the Bible Club. Lauren is a stay-at-home mom and runs the MOPS program (Mothers of Preschoolers) at the church.
Peter Bilotta, Trustee
Dave and his wife Michele have been members of Hephzibah Baptist Church since 1999. Both Dave and Michele have been actively serving over the years in Sunday School, VBS, and together lead Hephzibah’s youth group. Dave has been singing with the choir since 2002.
Their son, Tyler, is active in youth group and works with the A/V crew. Tyler also serves as the church bell ringer.
As a family the Lord has greatly blessed our involvement with the youth group. We have witnessed the Lord at work in the lives of these young people. Michele and I are so thankful to our church family who encourage us and the students.
Glenn Ritter, Trustee
Glenn & his wife Lin joined Hephzibah Baptist Church in 2006.
They have been active in the choir, missions committee,
helping hands and other aspects of the church. Glenn has been a trustee for 5 years, Lin assists with children/youth activities and serves on the hospitality committee.
Linn Sheller, Trustee
Linn and his wife Joanne were married at Hephzibah in 1970 and have raised their children and worshiped here for over 45 years. Linn is a retired instrumental music teacher and Joanne a secretary from the Coatesville Area School District. Joanne was a stay-at-home Mom while raising their children. They now have the privilege of worshiping with their children and grandchildren at Hephzibah. As a Trustee, Linn oversees the cemetery and building/grounds.
