Mission Purpose Statement

Our desire at Hephzibah Baptist Church as a missions-minded body of believers is to be actively involved in fulfilling the “Great Commission” both here in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and to all points of the earth (Acts 1:8).

We believe the example given to us in Acts 2, whereby gospel-based believers carried the truth of Christ into every language and nation through the effectual working power of the Holy Spirit, is still an effective model for the church today.

We seek to be obedient to God’s Word (Matthew 28:19,20) through our own personal witness on the mission fields where He has placed us and to faithfully and tenaciously love and support God’s servants around the world through our prayers, finances and gifts of encouragement.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Hephzibah Baptist Church Missionary Mandate

Missions at Hephzibah Baptist Church shall be defined as any individual mission or ministry outside of this local congregation not directly under the jurisdiction of Hephzibah for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission by one or many of the following:

1. Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 1:8)

2. Planting churches. (Acts 2:47; Acts 6:5-7; Matthew 9:36-38)

3. Developing churches. (Ephesians 4:11:13)

4. Discipling believers. (II Timothy 2:2; Acts 2:41,42)

Any individual mission or ministry which actively promotes these goals either by primary involvement or through a secondary (technical) support role and is in doctrinal agreement with Hephzibah shall be considered for involvement with the Church in fulfilling its missionary mandate.

Each missionary who is supported by Hephzibah Baptist Church is required to submit an annual update and is reviewed by the Missions Committee in the following areas: Finances, Correspondence, Doctrine, Practice and Goals.

We were thrilled to have Missionaries, Dan and Eriana Doyle and their family join us on Wednesday, July 27 to share about their ministry in Nicaragua.  You can watch their presentation here.

Please keep the Doyle family in prayer as they travel for 6 months on furlough and as they return to Nicaragua.
