Gather and Worship with Us

In light of the Covid Virus, we are talking the following precautions for our each of our gathering opportunities.

  • Please wear a mask as you enter and leave the building.  Once you are seated, you may remove the mask for the duration of the gathering.  Please wear the mask as you dismiss and leave the building.
  • We are asking that everyone use the main entrance under the portico.  To minimize areas of the building that need to be cleaned, we are limiting access to the doors under the portico.
  • A greeter will be manning the door for you so that one needs to handle the doors on the way in or out of the building.  All greeters/ushers will be wearing masks.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for your use.
  • A greeter/usher will be present in the lobby and auditorium to assist you in seating and any other questions you may have.
  • We will have an offering plate on the welcome center for you to deposit your tithe and offerings in before or after our gathering time.  If you prefer (or if you are not comfortable attending) you may also continue to mail them in.
  • We have roped off pews to safe social distancing guidelines.  We are attempting to limit seating to the center two sections to avoid having to clean and disinfect the wing sections.  Please follow the encouraged seating.  A greeter/usher will be available to assist or answer questions.
  • If pew Bibles or hymnals are used, please leave them on the pew at the conclusion of the service so we know that they need to be disinfected.
  • We ask that children under the age of 10 remain with parent at all times.  If they need to use the bathroom, please accompany them to ensure they maintain safe social distancing, and properly clean their hands.
  • After the service, we encourage parents to encourage their children to fellowship with their friends while using social distancing guidelines.
  • If you are sick or are experiencing any ill symptoms, we ask that you join us from home on the Youtube Livestream.  If you are not comfortable attending live at this time, we also invite you to join us from home on the live stream.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkqrYhsEi3Gyso2AhWiJGDA/live
  • We will continue to meet for Ladies Bible Study and Prayer Meeting through Zoom.
  • If you test positive for Covid (Or are strongly suspecting Covid), please attend virtually only, ensuring 10 days from the end of sickness before resuming attending in person.

Youth Groups and Children’s Ministry

  • Masks required when not able to maintain 6ft of separation.  During lesson time, if social distancing (6ft minimum) is able to be maintained, masks may be removed.  Family groups (those living under the same roof) do not need to be social distances but may sit together.
  • Activities or games that require less than 6ft of separation, masks will be required.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided and frequent sanitizing is encouraged.
  • For the health and wellness of others, please to do not attend if sick.

Hephzibah Baptist Church exists for the purpose of becoming, and helping others become, more like Jesus. We commit ourselves to this pursuit through God’s grace, and hope to bear fruit for His glory in four key areas including, Worship, Relationship, Service, and Proclamation

Picture

Worship

Worship is the awe-inspired, passionate reverence and love for the God who created us! It is a natural consequence of the committed believer, and demands our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. As we grow together to become more like Jesus, we believe in developing a lifestyle of worship that places God at the center of our lives.
Picture

Relationships

The relationships we have with one another say a lot about our relationship with Almighty God! We believe by encouraging, supporting, and being the expression of grace to those around us, we can demonstrate the unmistakable characteristics of a follower of Jesus!
Picture

Service

Jesus Christ was the ultimate servant! His timeless example compels us to use the spiritual gifts God has given us in the service of others. We believe this is a vital testimony in our walk with Jesus.

Proclamation

When Jesus hung on Calvary’s cross, His outstretched arms were not only bearing the weight of man’s sin, they were also embracing a fallen humanity.  Central to becoming like Jesus is to trust alone in His provision for forgiveness and repent of our sin. We believe it is our duty to proclaim this truth in both word and deed.
